Teleskop belongs to the Skopein group of works, whose title derives from the Ancient Greek verb for seeing, observing and examining. In Horoskop, Teleskop and Periskop, different instruments and systems of viewing become models of perception. The group examines how distance, direction and scale determine the form in which reality becomes legible.

A dark blue pictorial space opens through angular planes and a concentrated cone of light or vision. At the left edge, a fine green network of lines connects individual points. Depending on the scale, it can appear as a molecular structure, a neural connection or a constellation. Microcosm and macrocosm do not constitute separate orders; the same structure can operate within the body, in matter and across cosmic space.

From this field rises a large yellow form whose sweeping movement recalls a magnified musical clef. Lines and musical staves follow its curves, transforming notation into a spatial body. To the right, this movement reappears in compressed form: a black musical clef encloses a faceted yellow form at its centre. The expansive yellow gesture becomes a concentrated sign; sound, movement and volume shift their scale.

Across the pale field, handwriting, a radiant solar sign, diagrammatic lines and a perspectival construction converge. Beside them, a tent appears against a black ground. Musical notation, optical focusing, geometry and cosmic signs articulate different ways of making vibration, space and relation legible.

The telescope thus operates as a pictorial principle of translation. It gathers light, focuses distance and converts what lies beyond the unaided eye into a visible order. Within the painting, this process extends into sound, language, geometry and matter. Teleskop directs the gaze into the distance and encounters structures already present at a smaller scale: in the sign, the body, musical movement and the relations between individual points.
