Fis

Fis reduces the image to a sparse field of etched lines. Fine trajectories extend across the paper and gather around a dense central point, as if a moment of vibration had been held after its source had disappeared.

The musical title introduces pitch without asking the image to illustrate sound. Instead, the etched line becomes a record of pressure, direction and interval. What appears almost empty at first begins to reveal differences in weight, repetition and proximity.

The work moves between notation and event. A concentrated knot interrupts the surrounding openness, while radiating marks connect it to the edges of the plate. Sound is approached through its spatial equivalent: an invisible relation made perceptible by the traces it leaves behind.
