Dimension Verflechtung

Dimension Verflechtung brings architectural fragments, bright expanding planes and landscape-like passages together within a single pictorial field without subordinating them to a unified perspective.

Oil paint creates spatial layers while simultaneously dissolving them. Bright bands cut diagonally across denser passages, while golden and brown areas shift between material surface and spatial distance. The image consequently oscillates between urban structure, interior, landscape and diagram without settling into any one of these readings.

The title refers both to the spatial organisation of the painting and to its emergence through a collaborative process. Different pictorial decisions encounter one another, overlap, partially conceal each other and are carried forward by the other impulse. Here, entanglement does not mean the dissolution of the individual hands, but a structure in which their differences remain productively active.

Dimension appears not as a stable container, but as the result of relations — between directions of sight, material layers and two artistic impulses on the same surface.
