Dimension Verflechtung emerged through a collaborative process by Marlon Nikolai and Fae (Cara Lorena Höltgen). Architectural fragments, radiating planes and glimpses of landscape occupy the same field without agreeing on a single perspective.
Oil paint is used to build and interrupt depth. Pale bands move diagonally across denser passages, while reflective-looking gold and brown areas pull distant spaces towards the surface. The image resembles a city, interior and diagram at once, yet remains irreducible to any one of them.
“Interweaving” describes both the spatial structure and the collaborative method. Different pictorial decisions intersect, obscure and extend one another. Dimension is therefore not presented as a stable container, but as something produced through relations—between viewpoints, material layers and two artistic impulses working within the same surface.
