Singularität (Jedes schwarze Loch entsteht aus einem sterbenden Stern) treats the end of a star not as disappearance alone, but as the formation of another spatial and temporal condition. The subtitle places death and origin within the same process.
The painting is structured as an unstable architecture. Corridors, openings and gridded planes pull the gaze through several incompatible perspectives, while circular bodies and fine lines connect distant areas of the canvas. Figurative fragments appear inside this system as if suspended between observation, memory and transformation.
Developed between 2021 and 2023, the work carries its own extended duration. Material revisions remain visible rather than being absorbed into a seamless surface. The singularity becomes both subject and compositional principle: a point at which established coordinates collapse and another order begins to form.
