Polarität begins not with a choice between opposites, but with their coexistence. The monochrome field is structured through sharp contrasts: light and shadow define one another, while forms move between separation and dependence.
The work draws on experiences that are often treated as incompatible—hope and grief, joy and fear, strength and vulnerability. Here they are not reduced to moral labels. Darkness is not simply negative, nor light a promise of resolution; each gives the other contour, intensity and weight.
This tension is central to the series. Balance does not mean removing what is difficult, but holding contradictory states within the same life and the same image. The restrained palette makes that relation visible without resolving it.
