Lichttinte connects the idea of writing with light and painterly matter. Luminous traces move across the surface like signs without closing into a clearly legible language.
Colour appears not only as a field, but as a carrier of movement. Dense and open passages alternate; lines create impulses, lose their contour and re-emerge elsewhere. The image holds the moment in which a gesture begins to oscillate between writing, drawing and painting.
In Marlon Nikolai’s practice, light is not merely illumination but a direction of perception: something becomes visible without being fully explained. Lichttinte makes this transition perceptible as a fragile, materially bound trace.
Acquired directly from the studio. Each work is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity and recorded in the studio archive.
