Himmel, Erde und wir dazwischen

Himmel, Erde und wir dazwischen structures the canvas into three interrelated levels. Below, the material sphere of earth condenses; above it, an architectural intermediate space of planes, passages and thresholds emerges. The upper zone opens into atmospheric depth, dominated by a dark, planetary body. Heaven and earth do not appear as separate worlds, but as different conditions of a continuum in which the human being orients, decides and acts.

Keys, keyholes and an abstracted ladder form a precise architecture of transition. The ladder connects only the material level with the human intermediate space: it stands for the physical movement through which possibility can be translated into action. Access to the upper level follows no spatial construction. It emerges through awareness, reflection and inner clarity.

Two mirrored keys show the same impulse in different states. In the middle register it appears as possibility; in the lower zone it returns as enacted consequence. A vertical stream of light connects both positions and marks the instant in which perception acquires consequence. Every moment can thus become a keyhole — a limited opening through which another order of reality becomes accessible.

The work locates the human being neither in heaven nor exclusively on earth. The space between is not an empty interval but an active relational field: an interface between matter and consciousness, potential and action. Here, possibility either remains an idea or enters the world.
