Baking Cookies with The Angels brings the ordinary and the otherworldly into the same interior. A table, tiled floor and domestic objects establish a recognisable setting, yet the space remains unstable: perspectives collide, scale shifts and figures appear only partially.
The title introduces transcendence through an intimate, almost playful action rather than through monumentality. Baking becomes a point of contact between ritual and everyday life, while the angels remain neither fully present nor absent. They are suggested through atmosphere, interruption and the strange charge carried by familiar things.
Oil, acrylic, spray paint and charcoal allow the image to move between drawn structure and painterly dissolution. The work holds tenderness and unease together, opening a space in which imagination does not escape the domestic world but quietly alters it from within.
